    This keeps happening with Avira. An isolated incident ('our servers cannot cope with the demand', says Avira) is one thing, but it's got to the point that a user can no longer have any certainty that Avira will function as promised.

    There was a period a few months ago when updating became a bit of a hassle (though you could still always update manually if required). Since then though I've updated every day without any problems.

    No problems here with Avira either, use it on all of our PCs.
  • Another here with no problems with Avira updating, it's never missed a beat with me.......
