Sadly they take it back.

really????? i can only hope that they don't take it back as it woukd be £70 in my pocket but i'm really not expecting that to happen, especially for such a large amount. the payment and cashback isn't even showing in my acc yet as it was an order processed last week which i cancelled on saturday but dixons said payment had already been authorised so they would have to refund it. depending when they did that egg might not even apply the cashback to my account anyway.0 -
The Dixons homepage ad for the Egg cashback is now showing 5%. Egg site is still showing 10% so I assume it will change tomorrow to 5%.
phatspider was indeed correct with the 5% (prediction or insider info
)
Quidco is 3% so an extra 2% isn't great, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Probably not worth getting an Egg card specifically for this offer now though.0 -
Can't believe I am having still more hassle over this 10% offer!. After waiting over a week for my first cashback it was finally credited, so I thought I would take advantage of the extra cashback one more time before the offer finished at the end of July.
I ordered a PVR at about 8 o'clock in the evening on the 31st when the website was still showing as 10% cashback until the end of July. A couple of days later I thought I would just check that the correct cashback was showing and surprise surprise the transaction had gone through on the 1st of August and had only received 5% cashback.
I sent them a secure message to complain and today received a very snotty reply saying "the website states the cashback is 5% and that is what will be credited to your account". I have replied saying I am not happy with this as it was 10% when I bought the item. Will wait and see what happens.0 -
