Metal found in frozen asda onions

Hi, was just looking for some advice on what the best thing to do from here is.
We are half way through a bag of frozen onions from asda (asda's own) and a metal pellet shaped object has fallen out of the bag! Is it worth phoning the number on the back of the bag or taking it to the store? Will they even care if I do either? Thanks for any input.

inform them what happened in a polite way, accept their apology and maybe some vouchers and move on
    Always ask ACAS
  • MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

You're always better to phone the helpline & not return to the store. The helpline people have the authority to issue refunds higher than that the store can offer.

Perhaps it's just a pellet left behind from when the onions were shot?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I found some glass in a ciabatta from an artisan bakery at Xmas - found it in my mouth after I took a bite:eek:

I took it down to Environmental Health, filled in a statement and have left it with them to pursue - I'm more concerned with other peoples safety than getting refunds or compensation

  • Call the number and just explain. And please, whatever you do, don't start going on about compensation.
