I neglected to mention that the iPhone is too big, with corners. This was another reason I wanted to change.
I received my Google phone today and I can say it is half the weight, with nice round edges, excellent for jeans pockets. Unlike the iPhone.
Funny how threads degenerate into personal attacks - Omen - keep to the script - I think you need to get out more.
Touchscreen is the same, I admit not 2 fingers though. That's 2 fingers up to the iPhone then.
The iPhone dream is dead.
If you're talking about the Nexus One there, it is 130g, whilst the iPhone is 135g.0 -

Personally I find the iPhone a perfect size and weight and slips easily into any pocket, even my shirt pockets. Apple are brilliant at designing things ergonomically.A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

I have a 9700 and a 3GS, love them both, in different ways. They are like your kids, love them both equally, but have different qualities0

If someone wants an iPhone and wants to pay the money for one then fine, it's limited in some ways but it's still far and away the best phone available
No it is not. The best phone may well be this one http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/NOKIA-1650/PPAY It is phenomenal in all calls.
What you are on about is a toy, which can make calls and your iphone may well be the best at that (though I disagree) but it is nowhere better than a phone which costs £4.95, yes £4.95 not £495 !0 -

I like my blackberry as it has a nice keyboard as I'm not keen on touch screens, but I'm not realy that bothered whether it has "push" email and don't consider it worth paying £60 per year for this function. Having said that there might even be a 3rd party app that does "push" email, but I'm happy with the logicmail client for the time being.0 -
No I bought a HTC Magic, and I have to say it looks more modern than the iPhone, which is really dated and angular. Look at them on youtube, you will see.
The HTC does fit better in the pocket, honest. The unlock feature connecting the dots is so fluid - cooler than the iphone.
I go to Andoird Market and find all the same apps.
You can't use the iPhone as an iPod - it's too heavy and far far too valuable. If you do, you will drop it at some point. You will. Get used to itm and kiss your £200 cheque goodbye when you sell. So is the iPhone a tool, a phone.. OR IS IT AN ARTEFACT??
I exported my contacts thru iTunes to Google. I switched on the HTC and there were all my contacts. They just arrived, over the air. I was taken aback at Google's progress :O
Finally I needed to make an important call. But the iPhone/O2 is terrible call quality and no-one ever hears the end of my sentences. It's almost amusing hearing people pause then start talking over me. So I made the call on the Vodafone. No problems.
Back to the issue. The iPhone is a £500 artefact. An impractical objet d'art. Live with it.0
