Broadband with phone line - check 0845 and other issues

I just performed my own assessment of broadband and phone packages, as I am changing. I established these facts that people should bear in mind -
(1) A BT phone line includes 0845 in the fee weekend (or evening and weekend) plans.
- Virgin, Plusnet, Orange and others do not
- For me, most of the landline numbers I phone are 0845, because this is chargable on the mobile phone.
- This means you can spend, like 10p a minute (half hour =£3.00). You see where they make the money?
- It's not an £18 package (line and broadband) after you add in the 0845s...
(2) 10G download isn't enough for most people. Look for 40G or more. Check the charges per GB after that. You see where they make the money?
(3) O2 and BE are in cahoots. BE do the infrastructure, O2 gives them access to the customer database. This is good because O2 are clocking some of the fastest speeds since joining up with BE.
(4) You can have Virgin broadband through your phone line, you don't need to be in a cable TV area. They are very cheap at the moment, but 0845 charges again...
Thanks.
