Sky sent me the details of the Sky HD party through the post, and I followed the instructions to the letter. They sent me the £10 M&S voucher as planned and I booked the movie as instructed using my remote and phone line at the correct time.
When my statement for January arrived there was a CHARGE of £3.91 for the supposed FREE movie. Customer services then tried to say I had no claim as they didnt have the free movie listed against my account and and there was nothing I could do. Only when I persisted and said I wanted to cancel my subscription was I transferred to another department (after a long wait) the credit was then applied to the account as it should have been initially.
I also got £1.20 refunded for the cost of the call as I said I shouldnt have to pay for a phone call due to their mistakes as it was an 0844 number.
The interesting fact though is the refund won't apply until my February statement. They therefore have £3.91 of my money interest free for a month.. How many other customers does this apply to? and how many will have noticed the charge in the first place?:mad:

Not quite the same issue but we are having a difficult time with sky at the moment too. Our bills are just long lists of nonsense ever since we decided to upgrade to sky HD then made the fatal error of adding music pack for £1 a month and taking them up on the £5 a month movies offer. Would have been less painful to just slam my head in the oven every day to be quite honest. They have also lied to us on the phone re the free broadband upgrade offer, denying there was/is such an offer even though we have up on screen in front of us whilst talking to them. Nothing has been applied without numerous phone calls, the HD box wasn't installed properly and took 7/8 phone calls and a return visit on it's own. Laughable.0
