Quote for new boiler

Hi - we've had a quote to remove our old potterton boiler (currently sited in the kitchen with a flue running up through centre of the house) and replace it with a combi boiler in the loft (saving space, not money...our choice, kitchen is already small). We live in a 4 bed end of terrace, 1 bathroom.
This will involve re-running the gas up from the utility room and across the loft to an external wall in the loft where the boiler will be sited. The quote also includes 'redesigning system' and installing 10 TRVs. The boiler suggested by the engineer (Corgi registered) is a Vaillant Ecotec 837 HE Combi.
The quote is 3290.59 (we qualify for boiler scrappage too so get £400 back later).
I was going to get 2 other quotes - have got names of a couple of other local companies - but this was the only engineer who got a full hearted recommendation.
Area - Surrey.
How does this quote sound? Is there anything I shoud check is included in the quote?
Many thanks in advance

Good afternoon: scale inhibitor (recommended by Vaillant for hard water areas), magnetic filter eg. Boiler Buddy, powerflush with Sentinel or Fernox products, programmable roomstat, lagging pipework, notification to Building Control, completion of Benchmark Log, making good, removal of waste. I assume those who have quoted checked your mains flow/pressure rates and the gas supply. Is your loft is suitably equipped.?
Good boiler...the OH fits them;)

The publicity associated with this major change has been unbelieveably dire.
So an "RGI" offering you a CORGI card as proof of his competance is trading unlawfully. Ask to see his GasSafe registration which will carry the logo below:.

I see, thanks for clarifying as the first post made no sense to me! I have the guy's registered number and he is on the gas safe register, one of the first things I checked. Sorry, didn't realise there was a difference between that and Corgi because I had read this on Corgi's website - http://www.trustcorgi.com/HomeOwners/TheCORGITrust/Pages/name-change-to-gas-safety-trust.aspx
only adds to the confusion!0 -
Just as an aside, not sure I'd ever accept a card as evidence of registration - would always want to check number against a database. Cards far too easy to fake!0

Yes the change of name of their Trust is really quit unhelpful. Sour grapes!!

Sorry if I was a bit cryptic. You'd be surprised how many peeps just don't know about this and it was only 8 months ago.

i wouldn't have known but it is useful to know as I have 2 more people coming to quote this week. don't worry about being cryptic - although I did spend about 5 minutes trying to work out if I had made some rude faux pas about corgis and engineers! lol0 -
