having just been refused a contract with vodafone because ive never had anything on credit in my life, im going to have to make steps to getting a credit rating which will take some time,
so i was thinking itl probably be at least 3 months until i bother trying vodafone with the iphone, does anybody know how long after a phones release do they start to look at the deals and making them better, could this be a blessing in discise for me
obiously the popularity of the phone and lots of things will determine the answers

The iPhone has been around for a few years now. The current one is v3.0 and v4.0 is due later this year. Due to the way Apple control the supply and pricing of the iPhone if I were you I wouldn't hold my breath about getting a significantly cheaper deal - when the new one comes out the old ones will be ramped down to maintain the price levels.0

Probably not. When the do deals on ipods the opod is usually full price buy you get accesories or a iTunes voucher thrown in rather than a discount on the price (other than the few pence off to ensure they can say they are the cheapest).
Plus the iphone is selling well, no-one needs to cut the price in order to shift them.0
