Fair point Soo. I was looking at it from my perspective and all my items are over the £100 mark.
The point I was really trying to get across is that many of us self insure to a certain extent on items in the £32-£50ish range (recorded or COP instead of SD) and at these sort of values it would be fasle economy.0 -

Sorry, I also made that mistake of looking at it from my own perspective as well
All my items available to overseas buyers ar eless than £32, I made that decision a long while ago so that I didn't have the need to insure.
However, I entirely agree with you, for items over £32 I would definitely send insured/trackable and signed for. Likewise in the UK anything with a cost over £32 goes special.
Sorry for any confusion.
