well i dont want to get you too excited but i have heard that it is meant to be sunny this weekend ...now if only my housework and money could get sorted as quick0

Morning El, how are you today? The sun is threatening to shine here which is good, and the forecast is fine for the weekend as well, which the children will be happy with!
We have been lucky with our weeks "holiday" weatherwise - it hasn't always been gloriously sunny, but it doesn't seem to have bothered the kids or stopped them doing what they want to do!

glad youve had a good break i love the way it all worked out for you and your family bad news about the tyres though..have you ever tried getting them from the breakers yard ..we used to pay a fortune for ours but got them from the breakers yard for less than half the shop price (all fitted balanced etc as well) ...hows your neck doing now i read it's still giving you some gyp?0 -
OH did do a lot of searching to get the cheapest/reasonable quality tyres so I think we have done ok - it is just that we needed more than one!
The neck is getting there......albeit slower than I would like!
You sound as though you will be needing another holiday soon!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
it seems with my job i do loads then have a few days off (to recover) then go back to working loads i have honestly not done any housework since the week before we went to cyprus hubby has had to do it all i just havnt had anytime off from work ...now hubby has been doing his best but it is never the same is it? i could scream about the state the place is in but i cant do anything about it so i will just sit on mse instead lol
glad your neck is recovering wish it was faster for you though,i have no doubt your hubby wouldve looked up the best bargain for tyres though it's amazing how we can find these bargains when we search i have been finding so many since i found this site0 -
z i dont know now youve made me think even more ...i'm in that unfortunate position where i have that small useless piece of a pension that will no doubt mean i wont get any help from the government
Well don't forget that for "trivial" pensions you can take the whole lot out as a lump sum - though taxed at basic rate on 75% of it. "Trivial" currently means £15,000 or less - though this will rise over time."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

now that i didnt know where would i find out more about that ? it might be more worth my while saving instead of a pension...i nearly wet myself with laughter there me saving lol now that is funny0

Just Google for the phrase "trivial pension" (including the quotes) and it'll bring up a whole host of sites explaining about it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Ooh, I have a "trivial" pension
and I am sure it will stay that way, now that I am self employed and don't pay into it any more.
"trivial" what a fab word - it certainly looks "trivial" when I get my statements through showing what it will be like after inflation has taken its toll!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Mine is trivial too! I got a statement just this week - I will get £599 a year when I retire. Great!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
