Anyone had probs purchasing ryanair tkts with prepaid cards.

I purchased a Mastercard prepaid to avoid paying Ryanairs extortionate booking fees however when using my card to book flights it was refused,my bank confirmed to me that sufficient funds were available and that an electric request had been made to them. Anyone else had probs or am I getting paranoid?
