We booked our early summer holiday (May) a couple of weeks ago to take advantage of a discounted rate that was due to expire.

We'll hopefully get away again later in the year, dependant on if we can get the flights cheap enough.

We are a couple with no kids.
  • Wow - you're lucky your kids still want to come on holiday with you at 25 & 21! Hope my DD still wants to holiday with us at that age!

On the above-mentioned family holiday, my sisters will be 34 and 31 at the time of the holiday, and I'll be 22. And this'll be the third year we've done the big family holiday in May/June. Admittedly though they started taking separate holidays when they were about 17 and it only came back around to the big family holiday once my nephew (who'll be 3 in September) was born.

  • I am going on holiday with my wife and parents this year. It is the first time I am spending it with my parents for about 7/9 years- I am now 29. We all get along, but the holiday environment could be a test! All booked and raring to go!

It's never too early - I'm planning for about the next 4 or 5 years!

Last September we (couple, no kids) booked to go to Tunisia in June this year. First time we've booked so far in advance - waiting is torture!

I've got 2 weekend breaks booked next month, one in Dublin and one in Barcelona. Im also going to Iceland for a week in March. Can't wait to be honest. We'll probably book a few trips later in the year but nothing is finalised yet.

I went to Tunisia last year, had a good time. It's nice and hot, the beaches are nice and it's fairly relaxing. There isn't much to 'do' there as such, but if you enjoy a nice beach holiday it's the perfect location.

Not sure which category I come into (single parent to an 18 year-old who still counts as a 'child' for benefit purposes as he's at college), but I'm either 'D' or 'L'

Holiday? What's one of those? I've not been away since 2004, when I had a couple of nights at a family owned place. Last 'proper' holiday was a couple of nights in Dublin in July 2003.

Can't see me going away for a good few years either...... by the time I add on kennel costs even the cheapest of holidays becomes way out of my reach, and as my younger dog (almost 7) has special dietary requirements I'd have to find a kennels I really trusted as well (don't fancy coming home to huge vets bills). Add to that the fact he's not great around most other dogs (so he'd probably get stressed too), and I honestly don't think a holiday would be worth stretching the budget for at all.......

When the children were much younger, we used to book in October for the following August - and that was just a week away here in the UK......
