Homebuy Direct - Negotiating House Price?
Comments

We're just about to complete on a HomeBuy property and managed to negotiate £5k off the price and get carpets and laminates thrown in too -there's no reason why they can't negotiate, you just need to be a bit pushy0

Before homebuy came out developers were willing to give me a 20% discount un Reading Berkshire. Then it came out a few days later and it was gone, they wanted me to pay the full price with Homebuy. I walked away.
The scheme allows developers to overcharge drastically at the expense of the buyer and the tax payer. It is a complete rip off and will leavve you in terrible negative equity when you choose to move, stopping that move.
Avoid like the plauge. Save more deposit and have faith that prices are falling to more normal values.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.
