shutting up neighbour's dogs

my neighbour has 2 dags and they bark & howl at stupid hours of the day, usually on my days off from uni/work.
i know for a fact they haven't taken the dogs out for a walk for the best part of 3 years, allowing them to run round the house & very occasionally in the smallish garden.
what they do with the dags is up to them, but after complaining to them a few times, the owners are adamant that the dogs don't bark when they're not there (as if they'd know). they all work silly hours and as such, are often all out if the house very early in the morning, meaning the dags bark and wake me up on the one day off i get.
is there anyway i can shut them up from my house short of accidentally throwing some 'tainted' sausages through the letter box?
thanks

I wouldn't bother trying to reason with them, they don't seem too concerned.
Ring your council and report it, they might ask you to keep a diary, but try and get them to fit the noise boxes pronto, and that should get things sorted quicker. I have noisy neighbours too so i know how depressing it is.0 -
Google BarkbusterFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Speak to Environmental Health at the local council. Your location is highly disturbing!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Yes i fully appreciate your desires and believe me..i feel your pain. But think on this, excuse me if i have this wrong, but i don't want to train MY dogs to stop barking, as i don't have any. i want to get my uncooperative neighbours to shut theirs up
If you initiate a dispute with your neighbour and you own your home,it may be an issue when you sell and blight neighbourly relationships for years.
The local Authority/Noise nuisance route is notoriously tortuous and long winded. Can you afford to wait?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Short of interacting with the dogs yourself, which a) I'd imagine you can't do from your house and b) isn't something you should be doing seeing as they're not your dogs, there isn't really a way for you to stop them barking. You could report it to environmental health but as you've mentioned it to your neighbours before they'd be able to put 2 and 2 together and know it was you that told on them. If they truly don't believe the dogs are barking you could maybe try recording it as proof.
I'd try talking to them as much as possible to get the point across before you report them, but I can't see that you have any other options. Do you know if the dogs are barking because the people have left, or if it's a response to something else happening (i.e. postman, binmen or other noises outside)? If it's some other thing triggering the dogs to bark maybe you can do something about the trigger.:coffee:Coffee +3 Dexterity +3 Willpower -1 Ability to Sleep

they bark seemingly at random when the house is empty, which with the owner's erratic work hours, can be 3 in the afternoon, 10 at night or 4 in the morning. they always seem to do it upstairs. the dogs might aswell be stood next to me barking & howling when i'm in bed.
i would have thought it'd have something to do with the fact the dogs are never ever walkedhelpful tips
