Sorry, may not be relevant. But a warning none the less, there are alot of fake memory cards around. See here http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224382&page=1&pp=15 for more information.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Ebay are cheap but stay away from the sony cards there are too many fake ones about, buy a sandisk card, where to buy? mr memory £104 !!!! thats alot, direct from Sandisk $109 im not sure if they ship to the uk, I got mine from scan £63.44 as they are local

Poppycat it looks like you could have a fake one.
The image the seller uses on his auctions shows the fake packaging alot of people are unaware of the fake ones.
check the card out and compair it to the picture from page 2 on the forum posted earlier by ABH
Seeing as everyone has seen the image I will just link to it now as it throws the size of the forum out

I don't suppose it really matters as long as it works.0

The fake cards tend to be unreliable, break easily as thee pcb is very thin, display an incorect amount of space so when you go above the amount it will actually hold you end up with data errors and loose data.
So they arnt really a good option.0 -
Problem is it doesn t work. I hardly used the card, but now I was aware of the fake I tested the card. When I first got it early last month I just tried it being coping a 1gb of data from my old card ( psp with 1gb card that came with it). I then left it like that because I bought it for when my daughter goes to Hull 50 miles away for a operation to keep her busy in hospital.
I insert card in adaptoor and the pc card reader has problems now reading the card. I insert a sandisk 64mb card and it works fine. I put the 2gb one back in several times before the card reader sees it. When I try and transfer 1.9gb data some files are copied (mp3s) and then the pc says "please insert a disk in drive K" K being card reader.0 -
