:rotfl::rotfl:thats why I plan to wear red and black and not any white anywhere so I cannot be compared to a kitchen appliance ;)

And i do apologise to the lady the other night if i upset her.

There was a similar thread here the other night, i joined in light heartedly trying to tell a joke, well i thought it was funny, but the Op didn't seem happy, i think she said she couldn't understand the relevance of my comments,
So taking my life in my hands dare i repeat it for those who missed it,

    "why do Brides wear white"
"to match the rest of the kitchen appliances"

Do you think i should leave now ?

My kitchen appliances are silver :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

well i think its funny and im going for a completely non traditional wedding once we have a venue - outside, no top table, no sit down meal, no white dress, no bridesmaids, no speeches, no alcohol etc etc etc so i probably cant comment on how a traditional bride might feel :D

ive always wanted to have to done so i thought it would be a nice treat. but i am terrible at sitting still so maybe its not such a good idea! is it best to get it done about 3 days before as I have been reading about it and thats what it seems to say anywhere? I am just worried somehow I'll ruin it before the day then.

no you wont ruin it, it stains your hands so unless you scrub them constantly it wont come off most it would fade a little bit,
I had mine done on the friday and married on the sunday and it was fine,
you are meant to leave it on for a long time as the longer you leave it the deeper the colour, I couldn't hack it so I washed mine off after a couple of hours (had a right telling off from the lady who did it as she was my beautician on the day ) but it still came out fairly deep - it depends on the quality of the mehndi used
Please be careful about who you get to do it and make sure you have a test done, when I had it done for my engagement I had a reaction to the mehndi (don't usually but some people put chemicals in, I think she had)

oh thank you i didnt think that a reaction would even be a problem as i thought it was always non chemical based so i will have to check that as well! i do get allergies to things so i am the sort of person who would get a bad allergy :o knowing who to use is my biggest problem as its not anything i know about and i dont have anyone to recommend anyone. but i am sure nearer the time i will find someone nice :)

just keep asking around I found facebook handy as loads of people had groups advertising and they had pictures aswell, as long as you have a test you should be fine, if you're around London I could recommend the lady I used she was amazing.
