Getting married but I never wear dresses!

I don't really feel like "me" when I try on wedding dresses but at the end of the day, the whole point is for the bride to dress up
if you don't want to feel like a meringue, you could always go for a retro dress (knee-length)? There's nothing wrong with dressing up. 0 -
if you dont wear skirts or dresses ever how about a sari style outfit with the trousers underneath? you can look really gorgeous but still feel comfy as you will have trousers on. would also be great if you want to marry abroad as not heavy to put in your luggage.0

Thank you all for your thoughtful & helpful replies! I've got some great ideas now. angel13 I was thinking of a salwar kameez when I read your post- some of them look fabulous & you're right they are very light & easy to wear. I do the pictures of trouser suits that have been posted though! I guess I'll just have to start trying things on!
Thank you all again x :T0 -
otherwise go for a long flowing coat over the trousers so that you can get the detail and stuff off of the coat.
if you search offbeat bride tribe and have a really good look around you will find 1000s of ideas that might be good for you

I am convinced I will end up in a sari. i am a dress wearer as I love dresses but I just want something different and pretty and feminine.0 -
There was a similar thread here the other night, i joined in light heartedly trying to tell a joke, well i thought it was funny, but the Op didn't seem happy, i think she said she couldn't understand the relevance of my comments,
So taking my life in my hands dare i repeat it for those who missed it,
"why do Brides wear white"
"to match the rest of the kitchen appliances"
Do you think i should leave now ?Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Thanks for the tip! Not sure I'll be able to cope with thousands though, I'm already befuddled...

SailorSam - my units are more food-splattered than white most of the time. Doesn't bode well for my outfit does it!!0
