I assume they havent given her any information about the selection criteria or how they selected her from the pool of workers which is the reason for the appeal, this seems just to me!0

This is right. As i explaind in my other post.
I was told a was being made redundant and shown the door.
There was no consultation and the reason i was given for being chosen was that i was the last in and the first out! This not being true i started to try and find out what could be done about the situation that i had been put in.0

Sorry but why didnt you ask for the selection criteria? You cant appeal something you dont know.
Also why are they saying your last in if you arent? Did the other person perharps transfer in or such?
Tbh your still coming over as bitter with little grounds or evidence for your appeal and are doomed to fail.
get your case in order because no tribunial is going to take your side because you were too lazy or argumentative to win an appeal.0

I have never been in this situation before and only found out about selection criteria and other things that should have taken place after the event.
It is one of those situations that no one knows much about until it happens to them.
If you can offer any advice on the structure of the meeting i am having tomorrow i would be very grateful. How should the meeting start and what should i expect to acheive?0

 Don't go
 Its a waste of time.
You cant appropiately appeal as you dont know what you are appealing.
Request a delay to the appeal along with the full criteria you were chosen on.0

what if he refuses the delay as i had to confirm my attendance before 2pm today and have done so.
I was under the impresion that tomorrows meeting was to request and discuss the selection process and defend my possition if i thought that they had sellected me incorectly.0

 No it isnt
You have been made redundant. You are appealing. You need to go in with a case to defend and state why you shouldnt be made redundant.
You dont know why you werent made redundant hence you dont know what you are even appealing.
Frankly you have made a bit of a mess of things already and made it easier for them.
You need to get the redundancy criteria now. Phone and ask for it immediately.0

i was advised that the reason was due to the ongoing economic climate.0

Yes but why were you chosen?
 This is what matters.
You may as well stay in bed because you have about as much chance as winning this appeal as I do becoming the next president of america:rolleyes:0

again this was due to me being the last in so first out.
However as i have stated 3 other people have joined the company since i started.
One is our van driver the other is a warehouse employee and a sales person has started to work in Spain for the company. This is due to the owner spending most of his time in Spain at his resedence there. He has set up a division of our company out there as he is mainly there and needed some help as he has seen a gap in the market for our products.
As i said i was not the last to be employed.0
