Is your post being made redundant?
That is what i was told and it was a desision made on financial terns.
Are there others in the same position?
I am the only one being made redundant even though ther is another member of staff doing the same job as me
 Are you in a Union?
 No.
 Has there been consultation?
 No.
What grounds do you have to believe that you are being unfairly dismissed?
improper practice with reguards to redundancy procedure along with an e-mail from November 2009 stating that i was no longer wanted in the company, from my sales director to the company owner.
 I don't think i should have received this e-mail!!!!!!0

            Thanks for the info
Go to bed, try and get some sleep and phone ACAS in the morning.
If you can't sleep have a look at the ACAS site which outlines redundancy procedures, both from an employers and employee point of view
Make sure you keep a copy of that email.
How long have you worked for the company?
For what it is worth "Wayne" does not write particularly well.We all evolve - get on with it0

Don't worry - I have a hard copy on my Personnal email of the said e-mail!!!!
I dont intend on loosing it!
I started for the company in may 2008.
Sleep - I doubt it very much.
 Thanks0

            As i thought - no sleep!!!!!0

I would suggest trying to mkae the meeting that they propose unless you feel there is no time to prepare and request it to be adjourned.
Also you have no right to bring someone other than a colleague or TU rep. But you cana ask to bring someone else, they do not have to accept!
It does sound like the dismissal is unfair due to them not correctly following the dismissal procedure which makes the dismissal automatically unfair.
I am not sure what other advice you're looking for?0

I would suggest you stop using your amatuer lawyer information to gain points and think your in the right.
The company are spot on in location. You tried to screw them over here and didnt know what you were talking about. accept this.
You can take a union rep/colleague. No one else unless they allow. Somehow doubt they will be helpful now.0

Of course i think i am in the right and i obviousley am for them failing to follow the correct procedure.
With reguards to using my amature lawyer information - It is people like me who get screwed not do the screwing, hense the AMATUER!!!!
If you have somthing to offer that is better than amatuer i would be grateful to read it.0

 English?
What procedure do you think they have failed to follow? You suggest they have but nowhere do you detail this or provide any evidence.
Secondly Amatuer lawyers often dont know the law and are quoting parts of laws without considering it in context. Something I think your entirely guilty of.
At this stage I would suggest you will lose your appeal and any further action.0

there was no consultation what so ever. I am not sure if you have read the first part of my situation that is further down this forum.
If you haven't please do have a look.0

See the previous thread leading up to the dismissal. No part of the ACAS code of conduct has been followed regarding the dismissal which makes it completley unfair.
I think there is the chnace to appeal, not for financial gain but to ensure the dismissal was fair. There are obvciously others that should have been at risk but the employer chose this person as it was the cheapest option. Hardly fair.
Saying this I can only base my opinion on the information given which of course may not be the complete picture.0
