I have just seen something on https://www.fwdcellular.com. If you go to their bargain basement, the first offer is:

240 XNET MONTHLY MINUTES FOR £7 MONTHLY

240 XNET MINUTES PER MONTH
- FREE Sony Ericsson K500i Camera Handset
- 120 inclusive monthly minutes at anytime & to any Network and 120 evening minutes (8pm till midnight)
- 1000 Free evening texts to be used within 6 months (8pm till midnight)
- Free Connection
- Equivalent to £7 monthly rental after issue of cashback (£25 monthly payable to Orange)
- Calls charged at 12p Flat Rate & 35p to any other Network after inclusive minutes
Pay £25 monthly to Orange. Total £300 yearly less £216 cashback = £84 / 12 = £7 monthly. To claim your cashback simply forward your first bill. Your rebate will be settled within 28 days approx.
You must remain on the same tariff for 6 months to avoid a clawback

It strikes me that if u switch to a cheaper tariff after 6 months - the phone and line rental are effectively free!

Does anyone know anything about the phone? Is it any good?

Also , what are fwdcellular like with their cashback procedure? It appears that you receive it after the first month!

Anybody had experience with them?

Comments

  • Go to One Stop Phone Shop - its FREE there without the need to change tariff.

However, be sure to follow their cashback terms to the letter as they are sticklers for detail.

Alternatively, if you would rather that the cashback came quicker and you are prepared to switch after 6 months to make it free, many people would swear by Fwd Cellular. Not used them myself for cashback deals yet (timing more than anything else) but I've yet to see many negative comments about them.

I guess the topic titled "Forward Cellular are great" might be a good place to start
  • Go to the search on this page at the top and type in Forward Cellular and that will bring up lots of links about them, used them myself brill, quick delivery, good customer relations and paid cashback on date they said :D p.s. sometimes easier to e-mail them rather than call as only one man answers phone so tend to be long waiting on phone, but they reply to e-mails quickly
a please & thank you is all it takes

Some people just want the phone though, and for that I'd rather go with FwdCellular by downgrading after 6 months.

FC pay the _full_ cashback quicker and are known to be always brilliant (OSPS has had some complaints - not as confident).

Due to a 'mess up' by vodafone, I didn't actually get a paper bill until my fourth bill!!!
FC accepted it (the terms stated I was to send my second bill) and sent my check for a years line rental just after xmas, about 30 days later!!
