Or you could just listen to the radio and/or take up reading. No-one needs a TV.

Have a look at paying by quarterly dd instead of monthly - I'm sure when I set mine up it worked out better that way.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

  • I've had a moan about TV Licensing in the past. We had a 2nd home which we paid quarterly for, as they don't do monthly DD according to them. And they would only refund unused quarters, which was really annoying as we still had over 2 1/2 months left when we sold. What a rip-off!

Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many B&W TV license holders are out there using color TV's and whether they will check up? As surely they can't tell the difference in signal or receiving equipment using their vans and scanners!

With so much TV licence evasion I wonder why they make it so difficult to do something as simple as paying monthly?

Imagine if a supermarket would only let you shop at its store if you agreed to pay for your next 6 month's groceries "up front"?

Only if you are entertaining your workforce or customers, not if you are listening at home.

Not that i'd choose to do business with either firms, at least they don't try and make you pay 6 months rental IN ADVANCE.
