:T:T:T Well done and thank you for sharing :T:T:T
I hope that in time I can adjust my thinking to echo yours. I am trying bit by bit to let go of things but feel such guilt when I do so.
Thank you - took me long enough as I have a milestone birthday this year :(
I THINK (I may be mistaken) but I think it was when I told DD (who is very rational even though she's only 13) that she couldn't get rid of something because it had been given to her by (?) then came to my senses and realised I was attaching emotions to objects. Time to change the mind, then. Her room was too small to keep all the stuff she had so then we started letting go. And I started getting rid of my clutter too. Some things I have because they're lovely IMO AND have sentimental value.

Mind you I still have a tile cutter in the shed and not a tile has been laid since we lived here...I think I might know a Flylady whose hubby could make use of that;) - you know who you are so shout and it's yours! It's a wall tile cutter DIY type - still boxed ;)

I agree about the hospital thing i think there are so many awful hospitals!

I think this will end up being a long post (rant!) but yeh.. was stuck in a hospital thinking my baby was dead for 6 hours while the staff just made me feel like a nuisance!!!

During my pregnancy I suddenly got loads of pain, and stopped feeling any movement, after about a day I was really worried... phoned them.. they told me to leave it a few days!
I left it another day but then had some blood so couldn't leave it anymore, was so worried.. went in, the whole maternity department was 'closed for the weekend' so sat in a&e for a couple of hours with people going in front of me (who arrived after) with things like 'i was cleaning my ears and a cotton bud got stuck' NO JOKE!
Anyways finally I went through, told them the problems. the doctor was like, 'and?' so I said 'and i want you to check for a heartbeat at the very least please!'
She sighed, as if it was the stupidest thing she had ever been asked to do and walked out of the room.. about 15 minutes later came back in and told me to go to the delivery suite because it was the only section in maternity with people there.
Got there was told to wait in an empty delivery room. sat there for about half an hour / 40 mins. then a nurse came in and told me to lay on the bed, take off my trousers and open my legs. I had never had any sort of 'exam' before this and was completely panicking. I was like 'What?' and she rolled her eyes and said 'take off pants, open legs' so i laid there half naked, no curtain or nothing with tears rolling down my face and she walked out.
Another nurse walked in who seemed nicer, said she was going to check the heartbeat... 'Nahh I can't find a heartbeat'.. 'can you please check again?' 'nope still can't find a heartbeat. uh-oh! be back in a minute' she was gone for 40 minutes i just sat there huddled up on the bed crying.
Anyway a really really nice guy came in then, sort of old and mederteranian looking all friendly and calming. He explained he usually did c-sections but they had hardly any staff and he was free so he would do an ultrasound...
Everything was fine. he told me i could go home and that was that..

Luckily when i ended up having a c - section instead of the lovely home water birth i had planned he was the one who did it! made me so much more relaxed..

p.s. ignore spelling on this post :/ lol

Chazsucks, I hope you complained vociferously to the hospital!!!!

There are at least 4 massive causes for complaint in your tale above. Totally and utterly woeful!!!!

Can i ask, how pregnant were you at the time?

    Soz, totally gone off topic!!!

Well ........ got started on the bathroom and DD has come home with a colour rinse to do her hair so I am certainly not going to continue in there now – looks like it will have to be finished off either later on or tomorrow. Have been up the shop and got food in the oven slow cooking for tea and am going to take this opportunity to sit down and have a read. Tax Return still not done – need kick up the bum for that one!!!

Toochoosey – Hope you get the results you need from your scan
Carlsberggal – Lovely to see you back posting
Toots – Of course I don’t think you are getting at me and am appreciative that you take the time to care – thank you. Have had another two chats with him today and although he refuses point blank to go to the doctor himself he has said that if I see the doctor and what they say to me makes sense to him then he will make a decision then. At least it seems a step in the right direction
Tomato – Enjoy your massage course
Ladyl – As always lovely to see your presence here
Ajmoney – Have a fab trip down under
Pigpen and Chazsucks – What horrific stories from your local hospital
Mudbath – Glad to see you back and being so positive

Dont know why my posts keep showing up in bold print - they arent when I send  Bet they wont now I have written that!

    See lol
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints - the sinners are much more fun ;)
