Evening all
I think most of my fyling is going to happen at the weekend as it's a rather busy week. I'm pretty tired too (comes of going to bed late and getting up early I guess !!) Going to watch the last ever Inspector Morse with DH tonight, think I'll go and put my pjs on
Hope all are ok, haven't been able to catch up. xxMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Hello, sorry busy day so not had much chance to pop in.
Managed to FINALLY get the curtains today, Dunelm got all obnoxious about me returning the others so I have basically ended up with a £95 credit note. I got a few kitchen bits I needed, then got £70 odd left. It's got a 2 year date so doesn't really matter if I use it immediately. Curtains are now upWe got some new lights (half price) from Homebase, DP wasn't pleased as it's the same he got for our room which he paid full price for (but they are nice)
Have managed to do some of the list but not all, kitchen looks like a bomb site so I best go sort it. (((hugs))) for you all x x xOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
HHC didn't really go as planned as had to go and DH with DD's drawers. However, I did manage to clear the drainer, wash dishes - including pressure cooker which I'd manage to burn the bottom of with potatoes - not sure why unless it was because it was so full as I'd done enough pots for a couple of meals - and load WM. Kids are now in bed so can't hoover so will see what happens next.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Well, here's a good one for you all -
Six o'clock this morning (having watched moonlight pad slowly across the ceiling like a cat), gave up and decided, as Tuesday's list was already completed, there had to be something else to do. As I like baking bread, went to get scales down from the top of the cupboard. I slipped and the household woke to the sound of me landing like a ton of bricks against the sink.
Nothing appeared to be broken, but the bit where my lump was found was really, really sore. Said more rude words and got ready for the appointment.
One scan later and the consultant announces that it would appear that I had a cyst which has apparently burst this morning and therefore does not require any treatment at all! I have to have a follow up scan in a couple of weeks to see if it comes back, but nothing to worry about!
So thank you all so much for your positive thoughts!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
My MIL is a fantastic cleaner and helps me out sometimes but I can never get the house as clean as she can so I am also trying to figure out the secret to her success. I think she has a magic cleaning wand!
Be
seen your post on my thread Rose and replied now, well done you!
Well I have decluttered (hangs head in abject shame) stuff from my attic (bear in mind I cannot get up there as it's a balance on a ladder and haul your self up job and I'm scared of heights) - some cardboard boxes which I put up there when we moved in (note for Triker - flattened) as I need them for work - well I needed some cadrboard so I thought I'd use them and get rid at the same time. Only been up there since 1998...anyhoo I 'found' a suitcase which I had assumed was empty (lying on top of the boxes so I had to haul it out of the way) and in it were clothes clearly put by for DD which I missed the window for - so they have now gone in the charity bag. Oh and a wedding veil, worn by me then by my sister (MSE even then
) - it's sisters silver wedding in the summer. I think the veil might re-appear at any celebration they might have!
Jojo :rotfl: at your self help re the lump there...IYSWIM great news and a Flylady operation! Bang! and the cyst is gone! (No doubt you'll sleep REALLY well tonight, now!)
ETA I also decluttered the garden wearing gloves, into a bag and using a trowel, since it will be the only time I am home in daylight before the bin men come. I have a cat. Hope that paints a vivid enough pictureDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
