Haven't managed any flying and not sure today's the day either :( Ds tripped up while dancing with his big sis last night and ended up in A&E till midnight with a very painful arm. No obvious fracture but they think his elbow had popped out and back in again (ouch!) so had a night of crying, screaming and gentle cuddles and dosing him up on calpol and nurofen. Got to get him moving it today or go back and they will re-check/manipulate it to make sure everything is back in place properly:( Poor little man.
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

    poor wee thing:grouphug:
Try getting him playing something rather than asking him to move it, cos if you ask him it will be the sorest thing in the world, whereas if he is just playing he wont say a thing;)

Nice weather today so I am hoping to get outside and tidy up some mess, might try and get DH and SS to take the dead TD and DW to the tip. :(.
If the chaps are less than co-operatative could you try ringing the scrap man? Around here they collect such things for free.

I made Twinks Hobnobs for the first time this morning. Fantastic!

soappie - pictures would work well? My pet hate is when the words are on the screen, I cant help but read them and not listen. Oh, and I hate 'click and the next line appears', but that is just me being odd.
Mine is people just reading what's on the slides... they could have just given me the bit of paper and I could have done it myself in 5 minutes! It's well known that people can't read and listen at the same time, so pics are best, or short notes to back up what you're saying. Get some audience participation too if possible. So it's not death by powerpoint...

Had an early night AND a lie in :D so need to get on now and get some stuff done. I've got a friend staying next Friday, so need to get stuff sorted out before she arrives.

Suppose I'd better start with the laundry...

Yes, I should have said the slides will be more pictures than text. Pointers for what I shall talk about - pictures of things like the library (it is a Carnegie one), the church itself (for the March one - it's a church ladies group), the local playing field, the history of the masonic lodge in the area etc. etc. I've been having a look at stuff I've got already written and think I'm halfway there for the March one at least....
