    Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.79
  • Wilkos have them, not sure how much but I did see them in there today. Lakeland have them too but they will be expensive I'm sure.
  • www.selections.com have a pack of three planters for £4.99, or two packs for £4.49 each. The postage cost is £3.49. This is the cheapest I have seen them, even when you factor in the postage. This website is quite good for well priced gardening stuff.

As pointed out though, empty compost sacks are free. If you don't have any, try asking for some on your local Freecycle group (www.freecycle.co.uk).

February's Gradeners World magazine is giving away 5 seed potatoes (Vales Emerald variety), one potato planter and five packets of seeds (basil, lettuce, peppers, rocket and one other). You have to pay postage of £4.45 but it still seems quite good to me. You have to buy the magazine (£3.60) though to get a voucher.

I am gonna grow some spuds for the first time this year, and read somewhere that someone had used the big blue Ikea bags. Not sure if they would be deep enough for spuds though, but would be ideal for some other crops, and they are only about a pound.

    Hi

Wilkinsons (my local branch in Stratford London) had some today, £2.50 for two, holds about 40 litres of compost, they are reusable, they also had some other for general veg growing at the same price. Hope this helps
