    Hi there,

Does anyone know how much cash you can withdraw in a Lloyds Tsb branch, without giving them any prior notice?

    Regards Daz

I've withdrawn £8500 without prior notice, I Guess if it's an extremely quite branch they may need some notice

I regularly w/d a grand with no problems. I always refuse their request for passport/drivers licence. I insist they compare my signature on my debit card with the one they hold on their system which gives them the two security checks they need. I they resist always ask for supervisor.

    They must love you.

This is very suspicious behaviour and if it was me that was serving you you would not get a penny.
It is up to me to make sure that you are who you claim to be - signatures do not always do this.

I disagree...if it's good enough for Halifax it should be for Lloyds TSB too. I would add that the supervisor always fills out a w/d slip which I then sign to give them a fresh signature to compare with that on the system. There is nothing to stop Lloyds asking for verbal responses re my account.

£1000 is not a huge amount, and most cashiers would not ask for a passport for identification unless they have reason to be suspicious.

Exactly as a customer trying to tell me my job!
