The OP does not ask about YBJ's, so back to the question lets pretend its this one. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=carmarthen&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Carmarthen,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&ei=iHNTS8KmJtTX4gaosbG3DA&ved=0CAwQ8gEwAA&ll=51.853435,-4.301367&spn=0.00215,0.004823&t=h&z=18

Could you get done for entering when your exit is blocked?

I wish they would ticket more for ignoring cross hatching, nothing worse than stopping at a green light when roads are busy because a bunch of selfish gits pull onto hatching before their exit is clear.
    They're not always 'selfish gits'!
I got dogs abuse last week when I stopped across a YBJ. Basically there are 2 lanes of traffic that can go straight over a box junction. I'm in the left lane behind a bus, the bus stop is about 200 metres after the junction. The lights change and we start to move off, the junction has a bit of a bend and I see OUR exit is clear, the right hand queue of traffic is doing exactly that, queuing, as their exit is blocked. Halfway over the junction the bus that I'm behind decides s/he wants to be in the right hand lane, why, no idea as his stop, with passengers, is obviously on the left. So, halfway across the junction, the bus stops, slaps on his indicator and waits while I'm stuck behind, unable to pass.
Right away I can feel all the evil eyes staring me out and then this plum coming out the road on my left, and going left, i.e same way as me, starts giving it laldy on his horn. His exit is as blocked as mines but he feels the need to vent on me!
Admittedly I did stop on a box junction(with my exit lane clear!) but in my defence it was caused by a bus driver that did try, unsuccessfully, to change lanes halfway over.
So, we're not all selfish, or are we?

Cross hatchings should have spikes that pop out when they detect a vehicle that has stopped...

That's all well and good until someone from the entranceto your left pulls out in front of you (possibly through a red light) and takes the space that you had intended to pull into on the other side of the hatched area.

People get ticketed a lot for that one by the box junction cameras in London.

In the highway code there doesn't seem to be anything about making sure your exit you intend to take on the roundabout is free i.e going straight on but have having to stop on the roundabout due to traffic at this exit. Even though there is nothing comming from the right

Only in that Box juctions, the exit must be clear if for instance you are going straight

can anyone say if I am correct

If you are talking about entering a roundabout then no as many it is impossible to see exits.

If you blocked an entrance as you queued for an exit however, theoretically you could be done (inconsiderate driving I'd think?), but it is very unlikely and would depend on circumstance. Always good practice and courtesy to try and keep from blocking other vehicles path onto the circulatory carriageway where possible.

Very much doubt it. On a normal road it isn't an offence to stop across a T-junction. A roundabout isn't really any different.

Like I said theoretically but unlikely. I wouldn't tempt fate if a copper was sitting there on a bad day however- they could find something else to get you with I'm certain!

Good example of this is going south on the A49 Warrington at Morrisons traffic lights. Your lights turn green, but 4/5 cars still go thru on red from Morrisons, onto the yellow box.
