Im so annoyed!
I was supposed to be having everything installed - Phone/TV/Broadband. I chose a time on their website all was good. They then sent me a letter saying they couldnt do the morning but could do the afternoon - not a problem.
The day of the install, i called to ask if their a chance of getting a bit more of an accurate time (rather than 1-6pm) and was told its been put back until Tuesday.
I spoke to a manager and was told nothing can be done. How discusting is that, they can change it twice (once telling me, the other not) and then when i try to change it to a more convenient time they can only do it bu putting it back a day or 2 further.
If it wouldnt have taken longer for BT to come down i would have told them where to shove it, but that would be cutting my nose off to spite my face.
Just thought i would share my experience so far for everyone who is thinking of going with them.

The installs are now done by contractors as VM binned the In-House engineers in their favor (I started as a NTL In-House installer in 88) & we generally took up the slack work. It's impossible to give an accurate time as one job can take not long (the average time is 90min) up to a few hours even a couple of days to do,especially if the are construction issues or opening of road pits to route the drop cable.
It may have been that the crew who were doing to do your install got held up on a job (happened to me many times) & would've been unable to do your's that day.
Or they took on too much work & have had crews sick with no one available to take on extra work.
Plus with the dark early night's some tasks are dangerous in the dark, especially cable pulls.(I know,I've done it!!)
As for them calling you,you were probably speaking to a VM contact center when you called, the job was probably resceduled my the contractors supervisor & dispatch.Contractor's supervisor often has to look after 10 to 20 one & two man crews,co-ordinate the next days work, arrange stores ect & often does'nt have time to even scratch his bum let alone call customers.0 -
But that doesnt alter the fact they didnt bother to tell me. I called them at 12noon, they were due to come between 1-6pm. They said it had been cancelled, i asked why no letter to confirm it they he appologised, nothing to say it had only been cancelled that day or the day before.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
