help sky+ has died

We have sound but no picture, have tried turning it off and on and attatching cables again but nothing
can't afford £65 for a sky repair man to come out.

the 2 wires that go in the back (that are initally joined together and go out up to the dish) are very dodgy and not attatched to the sky plus box too well. and this has happened before and we just wiggled them around and it worked. But nothing doing this time

Phone up and tell Sky you want to Cancel, because your box doesn't work.... and you cant afford a call out charge.

Try changing your scart cables, it is usually a poor scart connection that causes this.

You don't say when you got it, but aren't they covered by Sky for the first 12m?

Could try rebooting the signal turn if off. turn it back on services-settings- press 0 1 select should take you to setup menu turn the LNB power supply off and leave for a few mins.

I've just been told that my sky+ box is covered for 1st 24 months. Which would have been good to know 5 months ago as I have to keep pulling the card out and pushing back in to make it work.

Loose Scart lead if you've got sound and no picture.

Either that or the tube may have gone on your TV?
