Work supplying iPhone 3G for free or 3GS for £100?
My work are giving us all the iPhone 3G to access emails etc. They have given us the option of getting the 3GS if we want but have to pay a one off fee of £100.
Is it worth it? I realise some will say yes and some no but how much better is the 3GS? I believe the 3GS is faster, what else does it do that the 3G doesn't?
I'll probably use it for email, web surfing and some apps.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The question for me would be, who would own the phone after your next upgrade? I wouldn't want to spend £100 on a work phone that I didn't get to keep.0

Before you do check you can do that on the phone. Your work may lock it down so you can't. You also need to check how the iPhone supports multiple email accounts, can you access your own email or will it only get works.0 -
I had a really good scheme through work they gave me £400 to spend on a phone, I got a 32GB Iphone 3GS (about £538 as it was a PAYG, so i had to pay £138 upfront) and out of my salary they deduct £25 per month for 12 months. Giving a total of £438 - The £25 also includes a £10 automatic top up every month also. So for £318 I got the Iphone really cheap! Much better than a contract, and I get unlimited texts with my £10 top up too.0

Good point, I'll check tomorrow regarding who gets to keep the phone after the contract ends.
They are going with Vodafone and aren't going to block any internet or personal email use as long as everyone is sensible.
I'm interested to see if people think it's worth the extra £100?0 -
I would pay the extra £100 but only if I got to keep the phone. The faster processor makes a big difference in responsiveness.0
