Can you please open malwarebytes, goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the log

If you want to free up some H/Drive space turn off System restore then turn it back on and defrag also it may be your anti-virus that is slowing the opening of your programs.0

Go into task manager, performance tab, look at peak commit charge, if that is more than 256MB (it will be), your pc doesn't have enough ram to work smoothly. Defragging or clearing up disk space isn't going to change that, but limiting your startup applications to essentials (virus scanner) may help.!!

It's because around 15% space is needed to shuffle the files around, think of it as emptying cupboards, you need somewhere to store things before you put them back.
Just had a quick look at Crucial, but can't find your exact model, can only find rx401 etc.
If it is rx401 them max RAM is 3 x 512MB, even adding 1x 512MB to your existing 256MB will give you a huge improvement for around £16.
I'm up to 19% free space on the drive now and it still states it can't defrag entirely....anyway...as you and the guys have said it really is pointing towards not enough RAM
What sort of a job is that to fit?
Plug & play or skilled professional job?0 -

I'm watching it now just run through the start-up and its somewhere between 180 / 240mb with no programs engaged (by this i mean I haven't clicked on anything)
MSN messenger & skype sap 50,000kb between them so I've dropped MSN off the auto-start list0 -
How many virus scanners have you got running, evidence of nod, microsoft security essentials, and possibly remnants of norton in there. The pcsuite, osa, sgtray.exe, and probably some of the speedtouch diags can go.!!

Norton should have been deleted, NOD is our ful-time A/V now......the security essentials, not sure where that came from, its not something we have purposely added0 -
