"what do you base this on?
only mail marked do not redirect will not be redirected
most of the ones you list dont use these types of envelopes "

Yes your right the only mail that does not get redirected is the items that have "do not redirect" on. I should have made that part clearer. However the people I previously listed ALL use do not redirect envelopes for certain post!!

It depends on the circumstances to class this as fraud.

Many people set up redirections where they rent their "old" property out. But everything is still registered to that address and when they apply for new CC etc they use the old address because they still own the property hence the redirection. This is not classed as fraud so i suppose it depends on your circumstances.
I agree with you Cotswold. I am redirecting my mails due to house move. I don't think it a fraud.

yes but applying for a CC stating that your old address is your present address is a bit different

Taken from the Roya Mail website
We may be required by law not to redirect social security and other benefits mail. We can also be required by law to pass on your redirection details to the Benefit Agency or Local Authority.

in the main the letters indicated are do not redirect housing benefit payments
these have chevrons round the edge of the envelope
however to complicate it more the benefits agencies can authorise a do not redirect exemption

I recently got my Tax Code letter from the Inland Revenue. Anyone remember if this has the "dont redirect" envelope?
