Virgin Media 2month Saving Upgrade!

Hey guys -

I'm on the 3 for £30 deal or similar, have been for ages. But I pay for 2MB Broadband, Phone & Large TV & V+ HD.

Rang Virgin for some advice on what I could cut down as a temporary measure, aprt from V+ we realised nothing. Then 'Dave' asked me if I wanted to do a 2month free upgrade to the XL. So i said yeh okay.

He rang me back to tell me with XL TV the V+ HD is free. So I've saved a £5 per month for the next 2 months and get Living TV HD and ESPN HD free as well as the TV Choice on Demand.

Might be worth enquiring if this sounds similar to your situation or bundle?

Thanks guys!xxx

You will have now started a new contract, so cannot go if cheaper elsewhere if you want to/find it
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

We have had the 3 for £30 for years including TV XL and V plus (no plus sign on my keyboard). We now pay an extra £5 each for the V plus boxes in the 2 bedrooms.

    Thanks for heads up!
We live in an end terrace, and struggle to get freeview signal if it's anymore than a light breeze.

I've always been tempted by going with sky, but family have it and I just dont like their set up for the Sky+ so we've always said we're sticking with virgin.

Sky charges for home visits, AFAIK Veirgin ones are free. Something else to be taken into consideration.

I am currently with Virgin on the XL package (TV, telephone, broadband and V+) but paying £42 per month - just wondered if it might be worth trying to get this reduced as I see others are only paying £30 for this. Has anyone else got a price reduction with Virgin when they are already contracted with them? Thanks
