Have a look on ebay--usually get lots of bargains on there.
TRYING hard to be a good money saver
  • I used a silky poncho from Monsoon. It was a god send and meant that I could wear my "normal" clothes. It looked great and just looked like she was resting under my top! x
  • I am breastfeeding and find H&M good, a lot of their clothes have buttons halfway down the front which actually undo rather than being just for show. I don't know whether they are too expensive or not but I shop there anyway so will wear the clothes once breastfeeding is finished. I just always get tempted by their baby clothes!!

The other thing you can do is buy a cheap boob tube at somewhere like Peacocks or Matalan, then wear it down over your tummy, then you can pull your normal top up and only expose the actual breast. Or wear zip-up cardigans and leave them done up at the bottom with a normal top pulled up underneath that.
I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right

Dont worry about what people may think. Last week i saw a breastfeeding woman sitting amongst the pallets at Makro :o. No one was batting an eyelid. :)

Talking of breastfeeding in weird places - I managed to do a pilates class yesterday with Alex snuggled up in his sling munching away :D
  • Best selection and price I've found is Apple Blossom Clothing. Great range of tops and dresses. Couldn't believe that some of these are breastfeeding tops!!

(BTW - bf tops meant that I continued breastfeeding WAY beyond when I thought I would - which has to be good for Alex!)
  • The best value breastfeeding tops I have found are the nursing camisoles from Bella Mama, they are only 16.99 and can be worn under other tops/wraps/cardis and keep your tummy covered but still giving good nursing access.
Breastfeeding saves £££ as well as being great for baby :rotfl:

  • When I was b/f DD 3 years ago I bought 3 "proper" b/f tops from H&M. I think they cost £9.99 each. People used to comment how nice they were and were surprised that they were b/f tops. They were constantly in the wash and washed well. I'll be bringing them out again in about 5 months time for baby number 2 :). I haven't looked in H&M recently but 3 years ago they had a really good selection of maternity clothes that were reasonably priced. Hopefully that's still the case?!

A loose t-shirt should be fine - but nursing bras are worth an extra spend because then you just have to discretely reach in and undo a "flap".
