  • your SAR came quick, i'm still waiting for mine!!

should DHL have left all that sensative data on your doorstep?
it should really be signed for by you, may be worth another complaint about that, what would have happened if it had been lost or taken?

    Hi Di,

I used that exact letter template and all they sent me were those statements. I thought it was a bit strange as for the £10 I sent them, I could have found that information out myself.

So I best call them up and tell them my letter and cheque was NOT for those summarised statements but for ALL information on accounts/cards/loans I have with them.

Yes that's right, it should have been for all they hold on you, and if they could not provide all, they should have explained why as well.

You did send the SAR letter from this site too didn't you?

Apologies. I should have explained. It was left outside my bedroom door. I live in a flat share and my housemate signed for the package :)

Di... Read my post above. The SAR arrived today :)

So... what do I do with this SAR?

    Hi there

Sorry was meant to post on this....
Anyway, dig out all information in regards of the loans and ppi, this is the information you would require for a start, I assume you may also find statements as well, where you could also try to reclaim on charges, such as credit cards if any etc etc, you can do this by posting on the reclaiming bank and credit card charges of the thread here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=102

SAR's are normally in a big bundle, so what I did was separate them to the correct categories, as not all mine were in a complete set sort of thing, then I put all the loan information together, such as agreements any calculations on the loans when settled etc.

Then the charges of credit cards in another pile, and the same for any charges with the bank.

Also check out for any written telephone transcrips and put them together.

    All this is a start.

So if you have been mis sold on the PPI, it does help to have the info to hand to help you support any of your cases, if the bank did not uphold in your favour, then it may help if you end up going to the FOS to send them copies of any information that may help.

Which address has everyone been sending their first reclaim letters to? I've got:

    Lloyds TSB Bank plc
    Personal Loan Service Centre
    PO Box 43
    Peterlee
    SR8 2YQ

    or

    Customer Service Recovery Centre,
    General Banking,
    Lloyds TSB,
    2 Brindley place,
    Birmingham,
    B1 2AB.
  • i sent my original loan ppi complaint to LLoyds head office in Greshem Street, London, requesting they pass it on to the relevant department,

Lloyds response came from the Peterlee address you have listed so all my subsequant dealings have been with Peterlee.

others may be dealing with other departments, i'm sure they will let you know

    cheers

    Hi all,

A bit of an update for you.

I have had various conversations with the Financial Ombudsman Service asking them as to progress with my claim(s).

On 27th September, I received a letter from a Team Manager at the FOS. The main part of the letter was...
"I am pleased to let you know that following our involvement, Lloyds TSB Bank Plc has now agreed to make an offer to settle your complain regarding your PPI policy. Lloyds TSB Bank Plc will be writing to you to explain the precise terms of its proposed settlement - however, it has told us that it will be based on the general approach that the Financial Ombudsman Service takes when we decide that a consumer has been mis-sold a PPI policy."

As I have not seen any figures, I emailed the FOS asking what this means. I received a call this morning telling me that I will be refunded PPI I have paid to date and the remaining PPI will be re-calculated and my loan(s) re-structured. Along with this will also be a compensation settlement figure.

I have agreed to the FOS's letter and returned their Settlement Form so Lloyds TSB will be writing to me within eight weeks.

Will let you know when I receive a letter from Lloyds TSB.

    Thank you ALL! :)
