Hello,

Just wondering if any of the Orange staff, or anyone else on the forum would know the answer to this question.

I've still got one of the old OVP Virgin Sim Cards, kept it going since the line rental was £0 per month.

What I would like to know, Does Orange have any bolt on / booster packages where you can add on a service like unlimited landlines, unlimited texts, unlimited internet etc etc..... and if so are they available with this old tariff.

Cheers

No, they actively try to discourage customers from having it, I went from that to a contract and there are so many hidden charges that I pac'd and went to O2, never looked back.

I phoned Orange Retentions the other day and asked what kind of deal they could give me to stay with Orange and they said customers on the OVP Virgin Tariff get no discounts..... All they could do was move me to a normal tariff with no loyalty discounts..

Looks like there not interested :rotfl:

I remember people did sell these a while ago on ebay...

I'd rather just keep the contract, at the end of the day its not costing me anything after all.

    Have you looked on e-bay?

You might have a problem getting any kind of data server running on a OVP sim, their so old that data was around when they cam out.
I worked on the support line at Orange and even 4 to 5 years ago most sims wouldn't update to any kind of gprs service/bundle. Further more Orange won't replace the sim for a newer profile, once the sim dies that it... So treat it gently.

    Hi Jon,

I phoned Orange on 150 last month and the advisor said he could give me a 2 month free trial of the internet... its been working great and i've been keeping an eye on my bill via the orange website and no charges have been generated when using the internet.

I need to cancel on 1 Feb 10 or i'll start to get charged for it.

Best thing to do is move to a sim only tariff (like the 200mins unlimited texts for £15 p/m) and then after three months you've built up loyalty. Once you've done that you can then upgrade and get deals.

I have an OVP Virgin but never use it. Should I, does it have any advantages? I know it has no standing charge / line rental but neither does PAYG which I use instead. Do Orange even publish a tariff these days as one of the reasons I don't use it is that I have no idea how much the calls cost.
