I've had a lot of problems with Bulldog recently. Was fine for 2 years, then last year moved to a new service and it has been a disaster.
The ADSL has been fine was on 2M Primetime for 2 years on a BT Line. £17.50
Last got a call 8meg, wireless modem, £1 installation, £17.50 per month for 6 months (then £40) 1 month notice on the contract.
Signed up new line arrive service fine. First bill was £17.50 and the modem came a week or so late.
Then the problems Nov 05 bill included £100 installation, call told a credit would be applied. no credit. Called in Jan, Feb, March no credit. Ask to cancel service. Told credit would be applied.
Got my final bill it is £120 they have not applied the 6 month discount properly and no £100 credit.
I had paid by CCard.
Then got an email saying pay up in 7 days or we will contact a debt collection agency. Email back no reply, used the form on their web site no reply. Called today staff said computer down call back.
Can I take this to the small claim court / trading standards?
I'm worried as I have record of the call but no letters or recordings to proove the history of mis billing.
any advice, chairmans contact details etc greatly appreciated.
Not sure if this is the right board to ask, but it is a shame I was happy with Bulldog. We BE now a few problems all resolved within a few days via email. Excellent service and the speed and modem (wireless + VOIP) is excellent.
