Checking Delivery is correct

We have just moved to a rented house with oil fired central heating

My question is how can you be sure that you are getting the full amount of oil when it is delivered

Our tank has no way of measuring its contents other than an ordinary long cane which is used as a dipstick

The driver puts a docket in the fuel delivery meter and gives a print out of the amount gone in the tank.If you mark your dipping stick before and after you can divide the distance to litres and get an idea how much your using..but this will depend on the shape of your tank.
