Acer Bio Protection appears in the startup list in CCleaner so I could disable it and see what happens?0 -

aliEnRIK - just wanted to say another thank you for all your time and effort the other day.
It seems like the laptop is now running a bit better and as you suggest we'll just disable various startup items from within ccleaner to see if it makes any further difference.
At least I can be pretty confident that the laptop itself is clear of nasties and assume that it is some of Acer's "stuff" that was pre-loaded that is still causing it to be a bit slow.

Most manufacturers extra cr*p will slow down computers
First thing I did when I got my DELL was disable the lot
