Further to my above post I ran the shorter scan and it recovered the pictures and documents I moved onto the hard drive from my old desktop but no others. I tried the deep scan but again it says 5 days. Should i just let it run overnight and see what happens??0

I would if it was up to me
I ran it overnight and as it started it showed it had found nearly 3000 files. It said 12 hours when I went to bed and I got up at 6.00a.m and it said 4 days to go but when I came back at 8.a.m. it had swithced itself off ( thr computer.) So I went to my comp man and he said buy a hard drive caddy and then put hard drive in that and run the recovery programme from another comp. I hav a desktop I dont use much so I have ordered a caddy and then will see what I can do. I think somebody suggested the caddy thing earlier so thanks to them also.:rotfl:

I bought a caddy from the internet and put in the hard drive and am running it from my main computer with Recova on a deep scan. I set it running about 2.00p.m and when I just checked it says it will take 36 days. Should I just leave it to run and see what happens?0 -
