lowering MTU in router settings?

i have a SB5100 motorola modem and a 4 port DSL/CABLE router, that my modem and playstation + satellite plug into....
Thus, you have a router
As I say, in mine MTU settings can be changed under Advanced tab. You should have something similar, dependent on router model. 0 -
thanks ohyeahitssorcy, it seems i had spybot installed, although i thought it was disabled it may have been running....
i have un-installed it now and it has now worked!
