lowering MTU in router settings?

dont have a wireless router no

i have a SB5100 motorola modem and a 4 port DSL/CABLE router, that my modem and playstation + satellite plug into....

Thus, you have a router

As I say, in mine MTU settings can be changed under Advanced tab. You should have something similar, dependent on router model.

thanks ohyeahitssorcy, it seems i had spybot installed, although i thought it was disabled it may have been running....

i have un-installed it now and it has now worked!

But I fail to see why MTU settings should resolve the issue with a specific web site.

:jI am a real technophobe! But I managed to alter my MTU setting and can now access secure sites - you learn something new every day.
