 Whosomebody has advised me to "lower MTU in my router settings to 1458 or 1392"
That site is working fine here. You will, I suspect, have to enter your router's settings page, often http://192.168.2.1/.
But I fail to see why MTU settings should resolve the issue with a specific web site.

I didn't expect it to;) Many routers are reached by either the Web address "http://192.168.1.1" or "http://192.168.0.1". The MTU settings can be changed; mine is accessed on the Advanced tab.0 -
sorry mate
you have completly lost me now.....
i am using windows xp, can you explain EXACTLY how to do this please?
i have checked internet properties advanced tab and there is nothing about MTU is there....

Depends now some ISP's use custom firmware for there routers and wouldn't allow you to change this.
MY MTU settings are in WAN setup i use netgear.0 -
There have been issues recently where AOL users have had problems accessing secure sites (banking, shopping etc). This seems to have been caused by AOL network changes, and the resolution from AOL support was to drop the MTU on Netgear and Dlink routers. It could be this that has been referred to, but I doubt it will apply to your problem.
Are you sure your IP has not been banned - sometimes sites auto-ban IP's after a couple of failed logins.0 -
i dont have a wireless router no
i have a SB5100 motorola modem and a 4 port DSL/CABLE router, that my modem and playstation + satellite plug into....0 -
If you;'re on Virgin Cable with a Ntgear router try 192.168.0.1 to access the router config. that's what mine is anyway. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
I wouldnt have put this down to the MTU unless you are having serious problems on all of the internet.
Do you use anything like spybot search and destroy or anything like that as it may have blocked it as unsafe content i can access that site no problems and if everyone else can then its more than likely something blocking it on your pc0
