Anyone got a 'guesstimate' as to how much it would actually cost to get a builder in to remove the chimney breast from a kitchen going up through the bathroom then attic? I realise there will be a regional variation of costs but a rough guide will do. I see another poster said the costs of new flooring etc should be taken into account but I need to do this, and install a new kitchen and bathroom, anyway. It seems alot of trouble to try to fit a kitchen, and a bathroom, around the existing chimney (approx 60" wide by 28" deep) so the best move may be to remove it altogether.
