Strangest thing ive ever heard that. A scaler is better than or worse than another all the time. Ive never heard of 'variable' quality with them
Id probably suggest letting the tv scale all the time from what youve said
(its possible the source is doing MORE than just scale I suppose? If its trying to artifically sharpen it or something then 'grainy' material will look way worse):idea:0
