I did my sums today and realised that our budget was not looking like getting us until the end of the month so I went through the cupboards and did a meal plan for the week with what is in there. OK so it is going to be a pretty monotonous week food-wise but at least there will be no temptation to put grocery shopping on the credit card. I did have to buy a few fresh bits for packed lunches and breakfasts but that only came to a tenner rather than the £50 I could easily have spent.
So that will make this the second month that the credit cards have remained unswiped!

I have also invited a friend round for dinner and drinks on Thurs as she had suggestd going out - she can share my boring cupboard food and I have drinks already.

    This weekend I have:
    Put washing on
Went shopping and was only tempted by one t-shirt (Animal - as it's me - scruffy and grumpy)
Asked mum for her old sewing machine - going to pick it up in March
Booked B+B we like for March - cheaper too.
Decided to start making my own clothes - might be cheaper
Got stuff to make jumper - have started, it cost a bit but is worth it :)
Nearly had NSD's - more like LSD yesterday and LotSD today!
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Got rid of a debt which I've had for a few years by using some savings. Although my savings have gone down I now have £100 more a month of which I'm saving £50

    Alleluja.

Not really religious but feel a big outlet of relief after doing this and its the only word which comes to mind.:rotfl:
