I have a Next account with zero balance for several months
A catalogue (OK they call it directory) was delivered on Thursday
I don't want it, I have no intention of even opening it
I don't want to pay for it
what should I do?
There is a shop about 5 miles away - should I just take it (unopened) back there?

Or you could close your account so that they know you aren't interested. Did you expect them to guess?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
If you don't want the catalogues you have to cancel them. I have an account but never havea catalogue. I doubt you will be able to get away not paying for the one you have received though.0

How do I stop them?
I suppose if I have to pay for this then I can take it into DS school so they can cut it up - an eduationl resource...
Seriously - how do I stop them coming?

Maybe take a look in the catalogue and/or documents you recieved and see what it says about cancelling you account, or simply contacting them by phone. Seriously - it's not that hard to do.0

The Next Directory will be sent to you twice a season while you remain an active customer of Next Directory. You may cancel the next issue by contacting Next Directory.0 -
Basically you signed up for an account and didn't opt out of the directory bit. You've had about 6 months to do this since the last one. It takes a phone call, so to ask them to waive the £3.95 is unlikely to have much success.0

You can phone them up to cancel your account or keep it open but just cancel the catalogue.0

My mum gets her NEXT catalogue sent every 6 months, but because she never shops from the catalogue (she uses it to see if she likes anything, then goes to the shop to try/buy it), she's never been invoiced for the catalogue price. This has been going on for years!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I phoned to cancel the directory, but it arrived anyway. The letter with it states that the cost of the directory is only invoiced when you place an order.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

I Know - but my biggest problem is procrastination...I'll phone Next tonight and deal with my procrastination habit tomorrowTotal debt at 01/01/2010 £34,262 (Excludes mega mortgage) Daily interest £12.42
