ditto, i've bought Gillette Fusion Power from the States and Canada and never had a problem. Since the product isn't available in the UK it's the only economical way of getting them (otherwise more legit sources have higher P&P and declare customs value).0 -
I bought some for my bf a few months ago, at the time the seller had 100% feedback so I stocked up for him and my dad and showed the sale to a few pals too... a few weeks later noticed the seller had been unregistered with ebay and he had tons of negative feedback. I came to realise that a lot of buyers (including myself) left feedback when the item had arrived safely rather than once they had actually used them... The ones we bought we rather poor, bf uses them for about 3 times then has to throw them - the genuine Gillette blades are excellent (so he says)
There's a 3 for 2 deal on these Gillette razors in Boots stores - I've stocked up from there this timePlease note - I am an Independent, Whole of Market Mortgage Adviser, however any comments I make on this site do not consistute financial advice and are for discussion purposes only.

Hmmm, must admit I haven't tried these perticular branded razors/blades, but as a money saving strategy they don't seem to be a very good idea.
I use Tesco own brand twin blad disposables (I tried various more expensive double/triple bladed versions but found then no improvement).
These cost 3p each, so you could use a new one every day if you wanted and still save money over using most gillette blades for a month!
I really do find a new, cheap blade to be far superior to an older, expensive one, so get both a better shave and a good saving as well (I find they stay as sharp as new for around five days).
The only down side is the amount of plastic going to landfill.0 -

Either :
1 - the blades are counterfeit...and my bet is they are counterfeit...or
2 - they're stolen.........and unlike one poster on this thread who doesn't appear to mind buying stolen goods...I'd assume you're honest and wouldn't want to finance thieves?
Best keep away...and avoid any blades on eBay...even the ones with the UK type packaging may well be counterfeit and lousy quality.....
Mike
Blades arrived this morning. Stolen or not they seem perfectly fine (at the moment) to me. The blades are very sharp, though I haven't tested them out yet. I have checked them against a genuine M3 Power blade and can not tell the difference. Either they are very good copies or they are the genuine thing. But I am hesitant to leave feedback before they are fully tested
I didn't buy them from the seller I had linked to (see 1st post) so please don't think these are the same blades as that seller is selling because they might not be.Moglex wrote:I use Tesco own brand twin blad disposables (I tried various more expensive double/triple bladed versions but found then no improvement).

I used to use these before I bought an M3 Power Razor. They really are a bargain and not bad quality either. The only real downside to these is that they are hard to clean. Running them under the tap didn't get rid of the muck they left behind between the blades. I used a very small brush to clean them better. It does take longer to shave with them than the M3 Power and I did get the odd blade that was a bit blunt but for the price you pay you can't complain. They did the job and they did it pretty well, I have to admit. I actually started using them after using a Mach 3 razor. I was spending far too much money on blades so opted for the cheaper tesco value brand. I do recommend them over other cheap brands and even the Mach 3. I think you get 10 in a pack for about 59p.
Stay clear of the 30 twin blade pack from pound shops. They are super sharp...so sharp that it's almost impossible to shave with. They are in a blue pack labelled Active XEL.
I don't think I'll ever go back to using cheap disposible razors now. I don't know of any other razor that even comes close to the M3 Power, except maybe the Gillette Fusion.
And no, I don't work for Gillette.0 -
I used to use mach 3 blades but they are just too expensive and too many copies seem to be going around.
I bought the wilkinson quattro from tesco which are on offer still at the mo (until 17th July) for £2.98 for the razor and 2 spare blades and £2.98 for 4 replacement blades. So stocked up on some, i remember reading a thread somewhere else on mse about some coming with vouchers making the blades even more cheaper, but mine didnt have any vouchers. Also tesco dont seem to have them advertised at the discounted price.ummm...0 -
I once bought Mach 3 blades off eBay and they were fake. I had great difficulty getting the blades off my razor; just pushing on the release catch on my razor wouldn't get it off and when you have fat fingers you don't really want to be trying to pull off the blades!
So I would advise against it.0 -
I've bought 3 job lots of these blades from USA and Canada, split them up and sold them on Ebay again and I've never had a complaint. A mate of mine buys more than I do and only once has he had a dodgy batch, which he got re-imbursed for. I buy mine off him and at £5.50 for 8, I aint moaning!!Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0

ive unknowingly bought fake razors off of ebay, (there are absolutely loads of them) and the seller had near 100% feedback. My little trick to try and find out whether the seller is authentic is send them a simple question like 'do you ship quickly?' if they respond then they are obvioulsy getting the questions through legitimately, then I simply ask them are 'these razors 100% authentic, with no possibility of being replicas?', 9 times out of ten the dodgy guys out there wont respond to the second question (as they obviously have something to hide) and hence I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole. Though I admit, I have heard that some of the fakes are pretty good quality, I just personally wouldnt pay a fair amount of dosh for an unauthentic item that the buyer is probably sourcing for peanuts.
