I do not need to explain why i posted my thread. If you do not wish to help because there has been an answer to this in another thread then i would rather you just didnt answer as it is a waste of both yours and my time. Thanks.
How very, very rude!
Kindly note that folks very kindly post in this forum out of the goodness of their hearts to help others genuinely in need of advice. You would be absolutely entitled to get shirty if you were paying for any advice you requested but this is a public forum and anyone who registers is entitled to post anything they like bar certain conditions.
The "search" function works perfectly well on here as far as I know and I suggest in future you use it.

Couldn't agree more....
In fact I am surprised they have been offered any help at all with remarks such as " to check if there were any sneaky ways" "this 'rip off' fee "
These quotes speak a thousand words..0 -

However, you only pay 1% stamp duty on any transaction that happens OVER £125,000, for example it kicks in at £125,001.
Doesn't it therefore 'kick in' at £125,000.01 ? .0 -

For what it's worth, I've seen it suggested elsewhere that the Inland Revenue take a keen interest in any transactions taking place just over the threshold for which no tax has been paid.
At the end of the day, if you put the transaction through with £4k of 'extras' which aren't in fact, worth £4k, it's tax fraud. with all that implies in terms of legal and criminal consequences......0 -

I'm fairly sure it is. You don't incur stamp duty at £125,000.00 but you do at £125,000.01 I'm sure that's what missmotivation meant-typos can happen!Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -
Sorry if you think i have "been rude" but im trying to find out how to "avoid stamp duty" if that is at all possible and answers saying there is no way to do it, just stay under the 125k or regarding putting some things through as materials etc.. are very valuable answers which is what i was looking for. Answers saying Search the threads and there are hundreds of threads on here has not helped me at all. The first thing i did was search the forum and when entering Stamp Duty it brought up 12 pages and after 4 or 5 pages of looking and seeing " stamp duty" a couple of times & nothing about how to avoid it, it then led me to creating this thread. Please by all means point out other recent threads on this which have avoiding stamp duty in the title and i will eat my words.
AGain i was not trying to be rude but simply stating that "search threads" does not help me in anyway after i have already done that and STATED that i had done that.
Bitter & twisted - I totally agree, i dont think my comment was rude, but it was sharp because of the previous post of "Search Again" <
How does that help anyone?...it is just patronising when im trying to get some help and ive stated that ive already ran a search.
Vigilant22 - Just so you when i said Sneaky ways, i did mean ways that are legal, there are normally loopholes to get around things without doing something illegal. Perhaps ask that next time before saying "these quotes speak a thousand words"
Missmotivation - You stated that there are hundred's of threads on this, this is a fair point as i didnt state in my thread that i had already tryed a search, however at the same time i cant say it was that helpful which is why i didnt thank You.
Googler - Thanks for a polite & helpful response.
Thanks Again to all those who helped!!0 -

So you continue to be rude....sneaky ways do not mean legal ways...
So maybe it is you who needs to be more clear.
By the way tax evasion is a criminal offence.....0 -
""The first thing i did was search the forum and when entering Stamp Duty it brought up 12 pages and after 4 or 5 pages of looking""
so you didn't even bother to read all the suggestions offered by the search facility ?
i have just typed in Stamp Duty Avoidance into the search facility here and got 3 pages of threads coming up =- MANY with stamp or duty or avoidance in their title..
You must try to help yourself first before expecting complete strangers to give their valuable time to you ......0 -

How is me simply saying "ask next time" rude when you accusing me of tax evasion is not....?
If you dont understand me just ask, im sorry but you are clearly the one being rude regarding this, i dont even know how this all works exactly with the stamp duty, let alone tax evasion which is why i was after some good advice, some clearly want to give this, other are obviously out to make other people look silly and patronise them.0
