    I'll let you in to a little secret-I use a very special running technique for Race For Life.

    It's called walking!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    BTW, entry for RFL 2010 is now open...

    I've signed up for this years Race for Life, it's my third one, have raised over £210 in total over the years, hoping to beat the £130 I raised last year.

    Don't worry about running/jogging it. Last year I did it the day after a 13 hour shift on about 5 hours sleep- I was definitely NOT running!

    edit: should any kind soul wish to sponsor me, the link is on my profile :)
  • Please sponsor me, Im running for @bubblybex on twitter who is currently suffering from cancer :( she is only 26

    Fantastic! Good for you.:beer:

    I'd advise you doing a little exercise before you race if you're going to run or jog it but a lot of people choose to walk all or part of it so it's not essential.

    When I did it last year they had three starts. One each for runners, joggers and walkers.
    There are loads of schedules to help with training if you want to go for it and run all the way, have a look at this one. Warning though you could be hooked!

    The running bit is not as important as the joining together with other like minded people and raising money for a really good cause though. :T
    Good Luck.
  • I have just made up a team to enter of me, my youngest dd whos 13, pal Linda and her dd - did it 2 years ago (and at the time knew no-one who had cancer) - since then my eldest dd discovered she had Hodgkins lymphoma, has had chemo and radiotherapy and is waiting for a scan to see if it has gone....

    We will be "Team Teecy" - my dds nickname

    And will be walking very gently - was off work last year for nearly 6 months with a back injury and slowly getting back on my feet - did 15 minutes today so thats a start!
