If it takes a company more than a whole week to despatch your order there was never any chance of you receiving the goods within 4-5 working days. On that basis alone I'd complain, unless you were warned at the time of ordering.

No mention at time of order, no email since the order, and no mention on their website either...

    too many comps..not enough time!

Then I'd complain loudly and not use the company again. All sorts of poor service is likely to be blamed on the weather for the next couple of months. Some company's have legitimate reasons to blame the weather. The problem will be to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Ok I accepted poor weather had delayed my parcels
Ordered a pair of trainers from M&M direct 12 days ago
They arrived today YAY patience rewarded

However the blue bag they came in was wet on the outside, well it is raining I thought, opened bag to find a soaking wet box and wet trainers inside !!!

So having waited 12 days son now has to wait until they dry out to wear them

I have no doubt that M&M direct did not send them that way so obviously the couriers have stored them badly :-( in a puddle possibly !

M&M no longer have any in stock so can't replace them, the lady said they were very annoyed at the courier service and that it was causing them loads of trouble (used to be called parcelnet now Hermes I believe)

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

My wife ordered sale items from Boots. Too much for one box, so then sent it as two deliveries via DHL. First package arrived three days later, second package traced it to our local sorting office where it was held for 7 days (due to bad weather). The roads are clear here and I think bad weather is being used as an easy excuse
